These terms of use are an agreement between you and Muneeb Rafi, the developer of Brila (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the app you accept them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app. They are effective from 18 October 2026.

Your licence
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Brila on Apple devices you own or control, as the App Store’s Usage Rules allow. Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the Standard EULA) also applies. These terms add to it; where they differ, these terms apply as far as the law allows.
The app
Brila lets you record expenses and income, see summaries and charts, set budgets and get reminded about bills. Using the app needs a subscription (see below), and some features also need an internet connection. We may improve, change or remove features over time.
Brila Plus and subscriptions
Brila needs a subscription, Brila Plus, to use the app; there is no free version. It is offered as a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription; the yearly plan may start with a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers. The name, length and price of each option, and any free trial, are shown in the app and in Apple’s purchase sheet before you buy. Prices can differ by country.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same length at the current price unless you switch plans or turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends. If a subscription price goes up, Apple tells you beforehand and asks for your consent where required.
You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account settings (iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel a subscription.
When a subscription ends, the app asks you to subscribe again before you can keep using it. Your data stays on your iPhone, and you can still save a copy of it as a spreadsheet file (Export my data) without a subscription.
If a free trial is offered, you are charged when it ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.
Payments and refunds are handled by Apple under its policies; we can’t issue refunds ourselves. You can ask Apple for a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. To use your subscription on another iPhone with the same Apple Account, tap Restore on the plans screen, or Restore purchases in Settings → Subscription.
Your data
Your data is yours and stays on your iPhone, except what you choose to send with the AI features. You’re responsible for keeping backups: if the app is deleted or your iPhone is lost without a backup, we can’t recover your data. The privacy policy explains what the app sends and keeps.
Not financial advice
Totals, charts, budgets, insights and exchange rates are tools to help you keep track. They can be approximate or out of date, and they aren’t financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Check important figures yourself.
AI features
AI results are produced automatically and can be wrong or incomplete: amounts, dates, merchants or categories may be misread. Review every result before you save it. AI features need an internet connection and an active subscription, have daily and monthly limits, and may be changed, limited or unavailable at times.
When you use them, what you choose is sent to OpenAI as the privacy policy describes. Only send content you have the right to share.
Acceptable use
Don’t misuse the app, use it for anything unlawful, try to access data that isn’t yours, reverse engineer it, or overload or attack our servers.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the app reliable but can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may update these terms; for significant changes we’ll tell you in the app, and using the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
Disclaimers and liability
The app is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses or for lost data, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app and Brila Plus in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be limited.
Apple
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for the app and its content, maintenance and support, and for any claims about it (including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection and intellectual property claims). Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. If the app fails to meet an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund its purchase price (if any); Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
You confirm that you aren’t in a country subject to a US government embargo or designated by the US government as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you aren’t on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You must also follow any third-party terms that apply when you use the app (for example your mobile data plan). Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Ending these terms
You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it (and cancelling any subscription). We may suspend the online features for anyone who breaks these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and can bring a claim in your local courts.
